Hi everyone!
Thanks for joining me.
I've been on Twitter for a very long time. But I haven't used it in many years. I guess I got fatigued from all the news and doom scrolling. Then recently I realized that Twitter can actually be a lot of fun. You just need to follow the right people and unfollow those that share too much stuff that puts you in a bad mood. You can find me at @davidbclear.
Anyway, on to today's story. It's about writing again, like every second week ;-) Specifically, it's about how to come up with ideas to write about. Enjoy!
STRAW POLL: Are you on Twitter?
a) No.
b) Yes (but I don’t use it much).
c) Yes (and I’m active there).
Reply to this email with "a", "b", or "c". Nothing else needed. It should just take you a second, but feel free to say more or give another answer.

The Simple Trick to Come up with Writing Ideas
Just write!
You may not know this, but you have a roll of toilet paper stuck in your brain. It’s an endless roll where each little sheet is an idea. And if you begin to pull on that toilet paper, or have your muse pull on it, ideas begin to unravel. Since as a writer your job boils down to nothing more than sharing such ideas, all you really need to learn to keep publishing is how to pull on that roll. Luckily, it’s fairly easy.
You see, when I first convinced myself that becoming a writer wasn’t an utterly moronic idea, my biggest concern was how I could come up with something to write about day after day and week after week. But you know what? Having played the writing game for a little while now, I don’t worry about that anymore. Ideas aren’t the problem. You have more ideas stuck in your brain than you’ll ever be able to write down. You just have to pull them out of the darkness of your cranium and get them out so that you can see them. So, how do you do that?
