Usually the sheep run away because of my dog, but that day they didn't because I had left Goofy back home (he needed some rest because of a minor issue with one of his paws).
Anyway, that's just a quick glimpse at my life and today's story is not about sheep, but about writing. Specifically, it's about headlines and a question I've asked myself recently: can a headline be too good? To find out, read on!

Why a super high click-through rate isn’t necessarily what you want
What’s the purpose of a headline? To get clicked and draw as much traffic to your story as possible, right?
Well, that’s what I thought too for a long time. But as I discovered recently, that turns out to be wrong. In fact, if your headline gets clicked too much, that can be a serious problem. It can make it less likely for your words to rank high on Google or to be promoted by recommender algorithms on social media platforms and blogging sites like Medium. And yes, that’s true even if your story isn’t clickbait. Here, let me explain…
